My 4 year old was super excited when I pulled this out the box and gave it to him. The pieces are not made from cardboard which I love so it can withstand the beating my year old is going to put it through. My son is good at counting so this helping him get even better and he just loves the chutes and ladders on the board. This is a great way to spend quality time with your child and help them learn at the same time.
Already a favorite in our household with our 4 year old boy. He likes to play with other kids and also with us (parents). Diego is a nice variation on the old classic. The board is sturdy and the figures are cute - the squares could be a little bigger - but the graphics are nice.
My son loves this game. The figures are very cute and this classic game is fun enough to hold my five year old's attention but easy enough so he doesn't get frustrated and not a lot of pieces to get lost.
We love this Diego edition of Chutes and Ladders. It confuses my poor little sprout every time, especially if he goes up a ladder and is suddenly going the same way he was before instead of the opposite, like he would if he hadn't hit a ladder. My son is four and he does a pretty good job following the directions. the only befuddling part is a long standing function of chutes and ladders, moving back and forth (changing directions at each level) across the board. lol. In any event, it's super and the characters are adorable and the board is adorable.
I purchased this game for my 3yr old. She loves the game and it really encourages them to count and follow directions. I didn't think such a simple concept would entertain a 3yr old but she really enjoys it.
